Costa Rica, Here We Come!

Well, not just yet, but we have our plane tickets! All five of us will be heading to Costa Rica the day right after the kids finish school.

I received an email a few weeks ago from Costa Rica Tourism inviting me and my crew on an all-expense paid trip to the happiest place on earth (Costa Rica, in case you didn’t know). This invitation is part of Costa Rica’s Gift of Happiness campaign and contest – currently taking place on their Facebook page where for the next few months they are gifting hundreds of trips totaling $1,000,000! We are so excited! The invitation was unique in every way, including in the actual invite received in the mail.

We were invited to select one of several Costa Rica Happiness we wanted to experience, and so of course we chose Family Happiness. This experience will take us on an 8-day adventure discovering some of the most beautiful spots of Costa Rica.

We will arrive at the Juan Santamaría International Airport and be taken to the green paradise of Sarapiquí, located on the northeast side of the country. This region is known for its biodiversity and nature contact.

We will also visit Monteverde, known for its Cloud Forest Biological Reserve, which owns vegetation belonging to this type of weather.

After seeing Costa Rica’s northern forests, we’ll head south. Alongside the Corcovado National Park, we’ll be enclosed in a magical hotel where we will be pampered while interacting with nature. This park conserves the largest primary forest on the American Pacific coastline and one of the few remaining size-able areas of lowland tropical rain forests in the world.

Our visit to Costa Rica will be our biggest adventure yet and we can’t wait to share all our discoveries with you!
