Wanderlust and The Movies That Feed It
Understanding the heart of a nomadic soul is not always an easy thing to do. Often times we seem disconnected from our immediate surroundings and the snippets of a moment in life seem to be missed by us.
This is because we are, by nature, dreamers always looking to faraway lands with wanderlust and wondering when the time will come when we will be there. In our minds, and especially in the minds of us with families and set lives, life is just too short, time just never enough to allow for all the things we want to do and the places we want to visit.
Just last night I was watching a movie where the main character was walking through the streets of Berlin, Germany. Despite the scene not portraying the best of Berlin, I thought to myself how sad it would be that I should die and never go there.
I don’t want it to seem as if I don’t appreciate my life, the gifts it offers both big and small, and the incredible love that cradles me daily. Because I do.
But there are places that my heart longs to see…some I have seen already, others I have not. I love it especially when there are movies and songs to further feed my dreaming heart and I thought it so romantic to share them here with you as well, as a way of giving you a glimpse of my heart’s deepest desire, and as a reminder to get in touch with yours and never give up on your dreams.
Each clip represents a place for me, and they are as follows:
Dublin, Ireland
Once
France (anywhere)
Amelie
Italy (anywhere)
Cinema Paradiso
London, England
Four Weddings and A Funeral
Love Actually
Where do your dreams take you?
