“In It Till The End” with Avon Walks for Breast Cancer series
Can’t help but get emotional while the sadness overwhelms as I write out this event announcement. That is because CANCER SUCKS and it took away my mom and my grandmother.
That’s why I am grateful for the continued work of organizations such as Avon Foundation for Women. They continue the fight against cancer with their “In It To End It” campaign and the Avon Walks for Breast Cancer, a series of nine events held across the U.S. where thousands of women and men come together to raise awareness and life-saving funds for breast cancer.
Since the walks launched in 2003, the Avon Foundation for Women has raised more than $390 million through the hard work and dedication of thousands of walkers and breast cancer survivors.
You can help the cause by visiting the Avon Walk for Women website , getting involved and contributing by participating in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer series.
Participants can now save $20 when they register for one of the remaining 2011 Avon Walk for Breast Cancer events. When registering for an Avon Walk, enter “WALK1” for the discount. The remaining 2011 walks are in: Rocky Mountains (June 25-26), San Francisco (July 9-10), Santa Barbara (September 17-18), New York (October 15-16) and Charlotte (October 22-23).
We can’t help those who have lost the battle, but we can honor their memory and help in fighting the fight.

Just passed 10 years and formally a survivor. Off all meds now and fervently wish they end this for other women soon.
