Keystone’s Bacon Fest, AKA: Blue Ribbon Bacon Tour

During my last visit to Keystone Mountain, my friends there mentioned that they would be hosting an event giving homage to the fabulous that is bacon.

I laughed and made jokes about them providing wide fleece shirts so that people could hide their bacon-filled bellies (me included) and that was that.

Imagine my surprise when I got notice about the Blue Ribbon Bacon Tour, which I lovingly refer to as Keystone’s Bacon Fest, taking place June 24 through the 26, 2011. Sadly, obligations here at home will make it impossible for me to attend but I wish I could go, cause I’ve never met a slice of bacon I didn’t like…well except for Canadian, cause that’s more like ham, but I digress…

What they are calling a “weekend long celebration of bacon” promises to be deliciously entertaining, with bacon enthusiasts coming from all over to experience it.

You can also schedule some hiking and other physical activities while you are there, just to balance it all out!
