Eastgate Tower Hotel Offers A Chance to Meet Picasso at The Met

When friends come to New York City, there is always a list of things I like to recommend that they do with their families while here. However, doing much in the city, especially when traveling with the family, isn’t always something that is affordable to do. Hotels in New York are taking note in that traveling families often need and appreciate packages that provide them with an opportunity to take advantage of what the city has to offer, including admissions to various attractions.

The Eastgate Tower hotel, located in the very central, yet non-hectic neighborhood of Murray Hill is not only a great place for families to stay during their visit to NYC, but also the place where you can enjoy the Meet Picasso at the Met package.

The package is perfect for budget-conscious travelers. Starting at $184 a night, the Meet Picasso at the Met package is available now through August 14th and includes accommodations in one of the Eastgate hotel’s spacious suites and two adult tickets (children 12 and under are free) to the Met to see Picasso in The Metropolitan Museum of Art, a landmark exhibition of 300 works by the artist Pablo Picasso. The exhibition will feature 34 paintings, 58 drawings, 12 sculptures and ceramics, and a vast selection of prints that have been acquired by the Met over the past 60 years.

The Eastgate Tower itself is an affordable all-suite hotel in the Murray Hill. When I visited, I loved how even their smallest suite still offered wonderful space, as well as kitchen accommodations. The hotel offers grocery service, though you also have the option to walk to one of the many local markets in the area. Their is a change operated laundry room on site, as well as laundry delivery service. The hotel currently charges for Wifi service, however, they are flexible with their fees, so just inquire.

One of the things that I also found interesting about the hotel is that they use a triple sheet system on their beds. What this mean is that instead of a rough, bed cover, they eliminated this and use a sheet as the bed cover, and then two more sheets underneath it. This may not be a big deal to some, but to me it is much appreciate because it addresses the phobia I have of germs on those thick bed covers which, honestly, I never use and always toss on the floor the second I walk into any hotel room.

Its location provides easy access to Midtown and favorite spots like Grand Central Station, Chrysler Building and the Empire Building just to name a few. The hotel is also equipped with a 24-hour fitness center and on-site parking. The Eastgate hotel is pet friendly property, and dog walking and grooming services can be arranged.

The Eastgate Tower hotel is located at 222 East 39th St. New York, NY 10016. Guests interested in booking the Meet Picasso at the Met package can call 1.866.246.2203 or visit www.eastgatetowernyc.com. The promotion code is METRO.
