My Most Exciting Food Experience

Recently I was approached by Foodspring.com™ to submit my Most Exciting Food Experience to be entered into a food blogging contest that will launch this week (May 24-May 28).  Food Spring is brought to us  by the National Association for the Specialty Food Trade (NASFT), a non-profit organization comprised of more than 2,700 producers of hand-crafted, natural, organic and ethnic foods,  Foodspring.com provides an insider’s look at these specialty foods and the people who make them.

They are also responsible for bringing the food industry together every year with its bi-annual Fancy Food Shows, a trade-only event. Through Foodspring.com, food writers share insights and stories gathered through these relationships. Simply put, foodspring.com is about great food made by great people.

I was honored to be selected as one of 8 bloggers to submit work for such a contest, and already feeling alike a winner to be among such awesome foodies, I sat down to write about what the experience was.

I found myself struggling a bit, trying really hard to decide which can be defined as THE MOST exciting. But I found it, and wrote about…the one experience that, in the end, defines and measures every food experience I have had since then.

My story will be published on Monday, May 24 at 11am EST, with each other blogger having their story published from then on till May 28. You must register to the foodspring site to vote until June 6 and can only vote once for each blogger whose story you enjoyed, rating each post from 1 to 5. The post with the most points will be named the official foodspring.com Fancy Food Show blogger and will have an all-access pass to the show.

Where and how do to cast your vote:

Each blog post will have a button that says “Click here to rate my experience”. You must be logged in to your foodspring.com account to cast your votes, and all votes must be received by June 6. You can vote once for each blogger, giving each post one to five possible points. When casting your vote, we hope you are fair and consider the following guidelines: Quality; Relevance to the theme; and Uniqueness.

When the winner will be announced and grand prize:

The blogger with the most points by the end of the contest will win a free trip to attend the 56th Summer Fancy Food Show in New York City as the official foodspring guest blogger with exclusive media access to the show floor.

The winner will be announced on Monday, June 7.

So please check out my story, and vote…and please leave some comment love!
