An Evening in Pictures: Big City Lights

It is not often that NYCity Mama finds herself walking around the streets of NYC at night with the kids in tow.  But on this one beautiful evening she was happy to have been in the heart of Times Square.  Her boys love it there.  And believe it or not, when she feels a bit conflicted about her being here (for all the reasons a New Yorker with as many kids as she has would feel conflicted), she heads over to TS and finds that it is often enough to remind her of how fortunate she is to live here.  Its a sense of feeling big and small all at once.

NYCity Mama is an adventurous spirit, often feels restless when in one place for too long, and she has been back to NYC for a year now, so it’s no surprise she would be daydreaming of new sites and scenes.  But this is the one place where she can go to to be reminded of the fact that her city is amazing, and while some feel frazzled and hurried while in Times Square, Mama often feels grounded here and humbled.  That and the look on her little boys’ faces as they walk through the streets, past the crowds.
